Canopy Sheet Metal Design

Iterating upon a previous generation picking station for my second co-op at Amazon Robotics, I redesigned the sheet metal frame for the canopy hanging overhead of the station. I gained comfortability working with sheet metal in SolidWorks, designing the structural frame, brackets for electronics, and making technical drawings that include callouts for PEM hardware.

Conveyor Testing

I collected position vs. time data of totes rolling on conveyors using a distance sensor with the MODBUS protocol. After data collection was complete, I analyzed the data using the Pandas library in Python to determine optimal speed settings so we can update our settings in fulfillment centers.
